Around Albuquerque, farmers markets are more than just produce stands. They're special events filled with live music, artisan craft items, and family-friendly activities. Each week, our brokers look forward to visiting these wonderful markets that are only minutes away.
- Downtown Growers' Market - Robinson Park 810 Copper Ave. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102
As the longest-running produce market in Albuquerque, the Downtown Growers' Market has a goal of "bringing the farm to the city." In 1996, when the market had outgrown the small lot at Caravan East, they moved to the current location in beautiful Robinson Park. In addition to more than 70 fruit and vegetable vendors, the market features artisan booths, prepared food and beverages, live music, and yoga. There's even a bike valet, so you can two-wheel the trip. The market takes place every Saturday through November 4 from 8 a.m. - noon.
- Rail Yards Market - 777 1st St. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102
Founded by a dedicated group of local volunteers, the Rail Yards Market intends to serve as a celebration of the community and New Mexico culture. The selection of produce varies to offer the freshest available fruits and vegetables. Children's and STEAM zones keep the young ones occupied with games, crafts, music, and educational activities. Short on time? Preorder a Veggie Box for guaranteed pick-up. The Rail Yards Market takes place every Sunday through October from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Corrales Growers' Market - 500 Jones Rd., Corrales, NM 87048
The Corrales Growers' Market stands as proof that good things come in small "packages." With a size that's more intimate than many of the markets in larger cities, the space is less crowded, and shoppers enjoy more personal attention from the onsite vendors. One of the more popular booths is Heidi's Raspberry Farm, featuring jams with creative add-ins such as lavender, red chile, and ginger. In 2022, the market drew nearly 120,000 visitors. Market hours are 9 a.m. - noon each Wednesday through October 18 and each Sunday through November 4.
- Sichler Farms - 820 San Mateo NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102
A family tradition that goes back six generations is the driving force behind Sichler Farms. When family patriarchs George and John immigrated from Germany in the mid-1800s, they started a farm much like the one they had run back home. Eventually, the farm took on a distinct New Mexico feel when they added their trademark green chiles to their crops. The chiles and other peppers are also used in a selection of colorful and decorative ristras and wreaths. A new feature of the store's offerings is upcycled artwork made by local artisans from found metal, burlap bean bags, and other recycled materials. Hours are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Sunday. The store is open through October, while online shopping is available year-round.
- Los Ranchos Growers' Market - 6718 Rio Grande Blvd. NW, Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, NM 87107
Located in a picturesque rural community nested just outside of Albuquerque, the Los Ranchos Growers' Market has been going strong for more than 30 years. It runs in conjunction with the weekly Art Market, a pet-friendly place to shop for jewelry, bath and body products, home decor, and other one-of-a-kind artisan pieces. The markets run every Saturday through November 18 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., with the Art Market open until noon.
