Held every Saturday throughout the warmer months in Robinson Park, the Downtown Growers Market is more than just a farmers market. In addition to being a place to purchase fresh produce and other local products, the market serves as a focal point for the local community. The Downtown Growers Market is just minutes from many Albuquerque homes for sale, and each week includes special events like outdoor yoga, live music, and presentations from specialty booths like Master Gardeners, Menaul School, and the Bird Alliance.
- Boots in the Park - Gondola Gulch, Albuquerque, NM 87113
One of the biggest country music festivals in the Albuquerque area, Boots in the Park is returning on May 17 and 18 for a weekend packed with live music and excitement. The festival takes place at Balloon Festival Park, and this year's lineup includes Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Jon Pardi, and Parker McCollum.
- Bosque Wild Guided Hike - 6500 Coors Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120
The Albuquerque area offers amazing natural scenery, and the monthly Bosque Wild Guided Hike is a great opportunity to experience it firsthand. The hike begins at the Open Space Visitor Center on the West Side of Albuquerque and takes visitors on a moderately strenuous 2- to 3-hour trek through the woodlands along the Rio Grande River. Guided hikes begin at 8:30 am on the first Saturday of most months; upcoming dates include May 3 and May 31.
- New Mexico Wine Festival - Gondola Gulch, Albuquerque, NM 87113
Happening at Balloon Fiesta Park on May 24-26, the 2025 New Mexico Wine Festival is not to be missed if you're a fan of great wine, excellent food, and live music. The festival will highlight more than 200 local and regional wines from New Mexico's best wineries, plus several live bands and DJs, and top-notch cuisine from some of Albuquerque's most acclaimed food trucks.
- Summertime in Old Town - 200 N Plaza St NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104
Two months packed with activities will begin on May 23, as Summertime in Old Town returns to Albuquerque. Extending through July 26, this summer festival includes live music and entertainment every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Historic Old Town Plaza in the heart of Albuquerque's Old Town neighborhood. Attending these events is also a great opportunity to get to know this vibrant area, which is packed with unique shops and eateries.
- Moongaze Public Telescope Observing - 100 N Main St, Las Cruces, NM 88001
Hosted by the Astronomical Society of Las Cruces, Moongaze Public Telescope Observing offers a unique glimpse into the night sky on May 31. Starting at sunset, members of the Astronomical Society will have telescopes set up, allowing the public to view the moon and any planets that may be visible. It's a great chance to see why New Mexico has been recognized as having some of the darkest skies in the nation.
